Tepic, Nayarit - Mexican former champion Ulises "Archie" Solis won a dominating unanimous decision over ten rounds against Colombian Luis Carlos Leon in the main event of "Viva Mexico" at the Palenque de la Feria. The promotion was put together by Zanfer and transmitted by TV Azteca.
"Archie" attacked the whole fight against an opponent who was boxing backwards. Solis was more precise and forceful in their scrimmage and won every round.
Francisco "Panchito" Sierra knocked out, a 2:38 seconds of the first round, Ricardo Campillo. Sierra connected with a powerful left that sent Campillo dramatically to the canvas. He got up and went to visit the canvas again, and then referee stopped the bout.
Lightweight Ricardo Dominguez, in the second round, knocked out Brazilian boxer Adailton De Jesus at the 2:39 second mark. Dominguez connected hard against De Jesus, who visited the canvas seconds before after receiving hard hooks to the liver.
In a great fight, Carlos Orozco picked up a four round unanimous decision over Oscar Ventura.
