Archie Sharp has been handed a date for his ring return.

The undefeated super-featherweight, 10-0 (6 KOs) has been in sensational form this year and has yet to be extended further than the third round in his four contests in 2017.

Sharp, from London, was last in action on September 16 at the Copper Box Arena, stopping Imre Nagy in the second of eight scheduled rounds.

And the 22-year-old will return to the same venue on December 9 on a Frank Warren-promoted card which is to be topped by James DeGale and Lee Selby.

DeGale will face an opponent to be named in a world title doubleheader as he looks to retain his IBF super-middleweight crown, while Lee Selby will defend the featherweight version of the red, white and gold IBF belt.

Foes for the pair will be revealed at a press conference on Monday (October 30).

“It’s a great venue and it seems to bring out the best in me so I’m excited to return,” Sharp said.

“The show itself is looking like it will be one of the biggest and best of the year so I’m happy to get the opportunity.

“I’m looking to finish the year in style and it’ll set up a massive 2018 so I’ll be training as hard as possible.”
WBO Inter-Continental and WBO European light-heavyweight champion Anthony Yarde will also feature on the bill alongside WBC Youth and Southern Area heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

Meanwhile, Gary Sweeney has been added to the undercard of MTK London’s ‘Pride & Glory’ card on December 2 at Brentwood Centre in Essex.
