MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former champion Jorge Arce continued Mexico's run over Puerto Rico, when he recovered from a fourth round knockdown and came back to stop previously undefeated Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in the twelfth round to capture the WBO super bantamweight title.
At the time of the stoppage, most ringside media had Vazquez ahead on points. Not the official judges. Two judges had the fight scored a 104-104 draw, while a third had Arce ahead by five points - 107-102.
