Los Mochis, Sin - This coming Saturday is the highly anticipated rematch between interim-bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz, and his challenger, Francisco "Panchito" Arce, which takes place at the Estadio Centenario in Los Mochis. The fight will be broadcast by TV Azteca and Fox Sports. Zanfer, along with HG Boxing and Sampson Boxing are the co-promoters.
Ruiz (28-1-0, 25 KOs) and "Panchito" Arce (31-7-3 , 22 KOs) clashed on May 14 in a twelve round war filled with multiple knockdowns, with both boxers meeting the canvas. Ruiz took victory by unanimous decision, but many felt Arce did enough to win a decision.
"I'm very motivated because I know my time has come to become a world champion. On Saturday I will show 'Cuatito' that I beat him the first time we fought, and this time the championship will be mine and I'm leaving the ring that night with the belt," Arce said.
In the co-feature, Daniel "Bad Boy" Rosas (12-0, 9 KO's) will try to capture the interim-super flyweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), when he faces Joseph "Matador" Cabrera (20-2-1, 8 KOs).
