According to promoter Ricardo Maldonado, hard hitter Antonio Pitalua (50-5, 44KOs) has been added to the June 4th card at the Foro Polanco in Mexico City. Marco Antonio Rubios headlines the card against Ricardo Marcelo Ramallo in a middleweight bout. Pitalua will face Javier "Gremlin" Hernández (6-12-1, 5KOs, record may be incomplete) in an eight round bout at a weight between welterweight and junior middleweight. Pitalua-Hernandez was going to take place for ten rounds, but the promoters were forced to shave it down due to time issues with television. Pitalua fights for the first time since the upset split decision loss to Ed Parades in December.
