Swedish-boxer Anthony Yigit (11-0-1, 4 KOs) is eager to prove he is Scandinavia’s number one when he faces the Danish 'Goldenboy’ Kim Poulsen (26-1, 7 KOs) for the WBC Baltic Welterweight title on February 7 at the Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn.

Having previously defeated Kasper Bruun for the light welterweight version of the title, the 2012 Olympian is moving up in weight, in an attempt to claim his second Baltic strap and another Danish scalp.

‘’There are going to be a lot of disappointed Danes in Frederikshavn,’’ said Yigit. ‘’Once I’ve beaten Poulsen, it’s going to be Sweden 2 Denmark 0. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m the best boxer in Scandinavia, and I will prove it on February 7.

‘’I’m excited to be challenging for my second Baltic title. Light welterweight is my preferred weight but this is a fight the fans wanted to happen, so I’m happy to go up in weight. It will not make a difference in the ring.

‘’Like Bruun, Poulsen will not be able to handle my pressure. He is use to controlling his opponents and fighting at his own pace, but he won’t be able to do that against me. He is going to have to fight at my pace and he will struggle. Poulsen doesn’t have anything I’ve not seen before. I’m confident I will win.’’

Micki Nielsen’s (16-0, 12 KOs) WBC International Cruiserweight title challenge against Julio Cesar Dos Santos (27-3, 24 KOs) tops the bill at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, which also features Dennis Ceylan’s (12-0-1, 6 KOs) rematch with Cristian Montilla (6-3-1, 3 KOs) and rising Danish stars Abdul Khattab (9-0, 3 KOs) and Rashid Kassem (6-0, 3 KOs).
