Anthony Peterson will again get to fight in front of his hometown crowd, appearing on the undercard of a show in which his older brother, Lamont, is in the main event.

Lamont Peterson defends his junior welterweight world title against Dierry Jean on Jan. 25 in Washington, D.C., at the D.C. Armory. The co-feature will be a junior middleweight bout between Gabriel Rosado and Jermell Charlo.

Anthony Peterson will also be fighting; no opponent has been set yet, according to Andre Johnson, spokesman for the Peterson brothers.

Anthony was last seen scoring a second-round technical knockout of Dominic Salcido on May 18, on the undercard of the Atlantic City show in which Lamont lost to Lucas Matthysse.

That was Anthony’s first fight in nearly a year and a half. Prior to that, he took an eight-round decision over Daniel Attah on the December 2011 card in D.C. in which Lamont defeated Amir Khan.

Before that, in September 2010, Anthony suffered his only pro loss, a disqualification against Brandon Rios in Las Vegas.

Anthony’s fought three other times in D.C.: a May 2007 “Friday Night Fights” show shared with Lamont; a June 2005 show on the undercard to Mike Tyson vs. Kevin McBride; and a December 2004 undercard in which both brothers fought underneath the DeMarcus Corley-Darryl Tyson main event.

The 28-year-old is 32-1 with 21 knockouts.
