Anthony Peterson’s return back to the ring — his first bout since losing by disqualification to Brandon Rios in September 2010 — came in Washington, D.C., an eight-round decision win over Daniel Attah.
“It felt food being back in there after 15 months in front of my hometown crowd,” Peterson said afterward. “I really wanted to do well here and bring a win home. You always want the knockout, but a win is a win.
“He [Attah] was pretty tough. He got off some good shots, but he was crafty. Daniel’s a good fighter. I take nothing away from him. What this tells me is I need to be in the ring more. Right away, no later than February.”
