Things are not getting any better for lightweight Anthony Peterson (28-0, 19 KOs). A few weeks back he told BoxingScene.com that his dream fight would come against Nate Campbell. That fight became a dream when Campbell announced that he would moving up to junior welterweight. According to Dan Rafael, Peterson has injured his left knee and was forced to withdraw from the Feb. 21 Cotto-Jennings undercard where he would have faced veteran Edner Cherry. The fight was going to be televised on pay-per-view by Top Rank.
With Peterson out, Top Rank will replace the fight with another from the undercard. They plan to move up the four round bout between undefeated super middleweight prospect Matt Korobov and Cory Jones.
