Anthony Ogogo's team have informed BoxingScene that the 25-year-old prospect will not fight again until early 2015 following surgery on his Achilles tendons back in September.  'Anthony is working hard to get back to full fitness,' stated Duncan Ross, representing Ogogo.  'There is no specific timeline, but early 2015 is looking most likely'.  Ogogo won Middleweight Bronze at the 2012 London Games and has motored to 7-0 (4) since turning over courtesy of a second-round TKO win over Kieron Gray in April 2013.

Ogogo battled against Achilles pain for the past few years before opting to go under the knife in a bid to find a long-term fix.  The Golden Boy-promoted boxer's last win was a fifth-round TKO over Sheffield southpaw Wayne Reed in July, but he now faces a few more months on the sidelines as he bids to return to peak physical fitness ahead of a big 2015.

The Suffolk-based boxer has had to watch 2012 teammates such as Anthony Joshua and Luke Campbell top domestic shows; however the decision to finally sort his injury problems means that poor physical form won't turn out to be his Achilles' Heel further down the line.
