Waitakere's Trust Stadium, Henderson, New Zealand - Former champion Anthony Mundine (42-4, 25KOs) had no troubles with a dominating performance over unheralded American boxer Xavier Toliver (23-7, 15KOs). The action was dominated by Mundine from start to finish, with Toliver's corner waving the towel midway through the seventh round to save their boxer from further punishment.

Mundine wants a shot at the "regular" WBA 154-pound champion Austin Trout, with the hope that a victory will force a bout with the WBA's super champion at 154, Miguel Cotto. The fight with Toliver took place at a catchweight of 157-pounds, although neither boxer made the agreed limit.

"I want the champion,'' Mundine told the Herald. "After I beat Trout [who is due to defend his title against David Lopez next week], I am going all out to beat Cotto. I will beat Trout, and I will beat Cotto - if they give me an opportunity, but I bet they won't.''
