Two division champion Anthony Mundine (42-4, 25KOs) is still targeting a potential fight with WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (23-0, 13KOs). Munine, a one-time WBA super middleweight champion, began a mission of becoming the first boxer to win titles in three divisions by moving backwards. He vacated the WBA title and then moved to 160 to win the IBO title.
Earlier this month, Mundine called Trout out. If he manages to beat Trout, he feels a potential fight with WBA's "super champion" at 154, Miguel Cotto, will follow.
"I want the champion,'' Mundine told the Herald. "After I beat Trout [who is due to defend his title against David Lopez next week], I am going all out to beat Cotto. I will beat Trout, and I will beat Cotto - if they give me an opportunity, but I bet they won't.''
