Former two division champion Anthony Mundine told The Daily Telegraph that Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley turned down seven figure offers to fight him in Australia. Mundine said he offered Cotto $2 million, and Mosley $1.5 million, to travel to Australia and take him on. When the offers were turned down, he tried to make the fights in the United States, but the offers were still turned down.

"I don't know why they're avoiding me, maybe I'm too hot,'' Mundine said. "I even offered to fight them in their own backyards ... they don't even have to pay me. I will pay for my team to fly over, all I ask is for the Australian television [revenue].''

For Cotto, Mundine will have to pocket up more money. The Puerto Rican champion is getting a guarantee of $5 million dollars, plus pay-per-view revenue, for his rematch with Antonio Margarito on December 3rd in New York's Madison Square Garden. On Mosley's end, an offer of $1.5 million is likely not enough, but still a good payday at this stage.

Muninde faces Rigoberto Alvarez for the interim WBA junior middleweight title on October 19.
