Super middleweight contender Anthony Dirrell (26-0-1, 22KOs) is ready to make good on his second opportunity to capture a championship. Last December he challenged WBC champion Sakio Bika (32-5-3) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight went to a majority draw and the experts were split on who actually won the contest.
Bika and Dirrell are going to fight for a second time on August 16th at a location to be determined.
"This fight has been on my mind since I heard the decision and I'm just real excited to get it," Dirrell said to The Grand Rapids Press. "I know I can beat him, I know I have what it takes and that's what it is. It just takes hard work and dedication to stay focused on the game plan."
"I could have done better the first fight, but I still think I won, it but this time it will convincible. I don't feel like he was hitting me with more shots than I was hitting him with."
