Manchester's Anthony "Million Dollar" Crolla has been added to Eddie Hearn's November 15th "Return Of The Mack" show in Dublin. The 27-year-old will provide undercard support to training stablemate Matthew Macklin, who meets Argentine tough man Jorge Sebastian Heliand for the WBC International middleweight title at the top of the bill . Joe Gallagher, Crolla's trainer, Tweeted the news of the new addition earlier today.
Crolla, 28-4-2 (11), fought in September, a three round technical draw against Mexico's Gamaliel Diaz—a cut over the left eye forced Diaz out of the fight—and he notched up a win over John Murray, his former stablemate, in April (W TKO 10), so the Dublin outing will allow him to close out a busy year as he seeks a world title shot in 2015.
The November date is Macklin's first outing under new promoter Eddie Hearn. The 32-year-old middleweight also hopes that the winter showcase will lead to a world title shot in 2015, he has had three attempts at the world crown, losing to Felix Sturm, Sergio Martinez and Gennady Golovkin by split decision, 11th round corner retirement and third-round KO respectively, and will hope to make a statement against Heiland to get back into the top-level mix.
