Anthony Cacace is now a promotional free agent.
The talented Belfast super-featherweight has split with Barry McGuigan and Cyclone Promotions.
Cacace (13-0, 6 KOs) is the Celtic champion at the weight, having stopped Ronnie Clark in the final of 10 rounds last October to clinch the crown.
And having not fought since then, the southpaw announced the news of his promotional severance on social media.
“Barry [McGuigan] and I are parting company,” Cacace, 27, wrote on Twitter, “and I would like to express my gratitude to Barry and Cyclone for all the hard work they have put into me.
“They have a great stable of fighters and I wish them every success.”
McGuigan reacted to the confirmation that he and his promotional company has parted ways with the fighter.
The former WBA featherweight champion, who is the man behind Cyclone Promotions, gave his thoughts on the 27-year-old Celtic champion.
In a statement released on social media, McGuigan said: “Anthony is a talented boxer and, after discussions between us, we have both decided that it would be best for Anthony to continue his career with a new stable.
“I wish him every success in the future and have no doubt about his promise.”
