Croatian middleweight Ante Blic has signed up with Hamburg-based promotional outfit EC Box Promotion, writes figosport.de. Bilic debuts for his new promoter on June 11 with a fight against Michael Shubov.

Bilic (23-2), a young veteran at 28, turned pro in 2002 in Croatia and then joined Spotlight Boxing in Hamburg in 2004, winning the WBC Youth title and defended it four times. After a loss to current EBU jr. middleweight champ Lukas Konecny, he was out of Spotlight and then got a deal with Arena Box Promotion. However, after losing to talented Russian Sergey Sorokin, Bilic left or was forced to leave, and the next stop was Russia and Titov Boxing where Ante won a few fights but for over two years now has been a freelancer based in Croatia.

Bilic is "good" but whether he is "good enough" is still an open question.
