Hughie Fury has suffered the curse of the non-opponent yet again.

He is set to feature on the undercard of his cousin Tyson’s world heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko, as he will now face Croatia's Toni Visic (19-19-1, 5 KOs) later this evening at ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Fury, who moved to (17-0, 9 KOs) on November 14 with a two-round stoppage of Argentina’s Emilio Ezequiel Zarate in Bristol, had been slated to face German-based Konstantin Airich (22-14-2, 18 KOs). It has since emerged that the sanctioning body for the event, Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer has knocked back the Kazakhstan-born former Anthony Joshua foe as a suitable opponent.

With what appeared to be a race against time for Hughie’s promoter, Mick Hennessy, to find somebody suitable to box the six-foot-plus man, it now looks likely that the 21-year-old, from Manchester, will be able to extend his unbeaten record when he takes on Visic over eight rounds later tonight.
