Angel 'El Gallo' Suarez, who amassed an impressive record of 243-65 in amateur boxing and won the gold medal at the Copa Romana and KITO tournament in Ecuador and a bronze medal in the 2011 Pan American Games, will be debuting on May 15 at BB King Blues Club in New York City. He will be matched against Eliezer Agosto (1-2) in a four rounder at featherweight.

The function will be presented by DiBella Entertainment, who signed the young prospect, and will be headlined by the fight between Andy Lee (29-2, 20 KO's) and Darryl Cunningham (28-4, 11 KO's).

Suarez, who is managed by Ricardo Figueroa, is 22 years old and began his amateur career in the Wilfredo Gomez Gym in Guaynabo, where he continues to train, ascending gradually in the 126-pound division asl obtained several gold, silver and bronze medals in international events.
