Former WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) is less than one week away from his Premier Boxing Champions headliner on August 1st.

Garcia will once again top the card at Barclays Center when he officially moves up to the welterweight limit of 147-pounds to take on former two-division world champion Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs) in a 12-round welterweight battle.

The fight is the televised main event on Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN at 9:00 p.m. ET/6 :00 p.m. PT.

Angel Garcia, father and trainer of Danny, says Malignaggi will not be able to win the fight by using movement and staying away from his son's power.

"At the end of the day, you gotta fight. He's not going to win running around. We're coming to smash you," Angel said.

Angel is confident that his son will make a very impressive transfer to the welterweight limit.

"Danny's going to be ready on August 1 to show the world that he's ready. The power is there. He's coming like a lion in the night. He's going to eat everybody up at 147," Angel said.
