Promoter Lou DiBella has advised BoxingScene.com that middleweight contender Andy Lee (27-1, 19KOs) is "ready and willing" to fight WBA champion Felix Sturm (36-2-2, 15KOs) - and the Irish boxer has no issue with traveling to Germany to make the fight happen. Sturm has barely fought outside of Germany since losing a controversial decision in 2004 to Oscar De La Hoya at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Lee is presently scheduled to fight, against a yet to be determined opponent, on the Sergio Martinez-Matthew Macklin undercard on March 17th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

"Andy Lee is ready to fight Felix Sturm and he'll go to Germany. I think it's a great fight. Lee is confident about his chances and there wouldn't be a problem with going to Germany," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.
