In the main event of the show, which was held at RAFAKO Hall in Raciborz, Poland, promising Polish heavyweight Andrzej Wawrzyk (25-0, 13 KOs) got another victory on his way up to the elite ranks, by outscoring Denmark’s Claus Bertino (13-3, 8 KOs) over ten workman-like rounds. Wawrzyk started fast and used combinations to place the Dane on the defensive. The left hooks of the Pole did some damage to Bertino’s ribs as well.

However, in the fourth the Dane got back and rocked Wawrzyk several times. The mid rounds were rather even, and the local guy got the better of his opponent in later rounds. Scores were: 100-90, 98-93 and 99-92 – for WBA #12 Wawrzyk, 24, who retained his WBC Baltic and WBA International titles in process.

On the same card, WBC #3 and WBA #7 light middleweight Damian Jonak (32-0-1, 21 KOs), IBF #11 welterweight and former world title challenger Rafal Jackiewicz (40-11-1, 19 KOs) and welterweight Lukasz Maciec (15-1-1, 3 KOs) got wins over warm-up type opponents, which have been already reported by BoxingScene.
