Andrzej Fonfara (23-2, 13 KOs) has suffered an injury to his right hand, which forced him to withdraw from his ESPN televised return on March 22 in Chicago. Fonfara was scheduled to face Nicholson Poulard (19-3, 9 KOs). Fonfara has promised to come back even stronger.

If he does not recover in four weeks, there may be the possibility of having surgery on his hand and then he would need 3 to 6 months of recovery time. Fonfara is having issues with his hand due to a previous fracture that never properly healed.

"Unfortunately, my next fight has to be canceled due to an injury from the last sparring session. But what does not kill you will only make you stronger. So I promise I will come back even stronger and better," Fonfara said.
