Light heavyweight Andrzej Fonfara (15-2, 6 KOs) wasted no time in winning his latest bout - with only 23 seconds being needed to annihilate Anthony Doughty (9-2, 8 KOs) in front of his Polish fans at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL. Doughty came out swinging, ready to slug it out, but Fonfara threw a quick left-right combination, landing the right hand flush to the face of Doughty. Doughty was down and out, lying motionless for several minutes. It was the third straight stoppage victory for Fonfara, who began his career at welterweight and looks very comfortable at 175 lbs.

In the co-feature, super lightweight Ivan Popoca (15-0-1, 10 KOs) defeated Martin Tucker (7-7, 3 KOs) with an eight-round unanimous decision. Tucker found much success in the middle of the ring as he landed rapid combinations, even cutting Popoca above his right eye during the first round. This would not continue as Popoca spent majority of the fight chasing Tucker around the ring and pushing him against the ropes while unloading with hooks and uppercuts. There were moments when Tucker would step forward and land his combinations, but they were not enough as Popoca would force him against the ropes to deal more punishment. The final scores were 78-74 twice, and 77-75, all in favor of Popoca.

Also on the card, super lightweight Genaro Mendez rose from the canvas to later stop Clifford McPherson in the third round. Both boxers were swinging away in the first round with Mendez getting the better of the exchanges. In the second round, McPherson landed a right hook that dropped Mendez who just barely beat the count of ten and was ready to continue. McPherson jumped back on Mendez and trapped him against the ropes while landing a barrage of punches. Just when the end seemed near, Mendez fought McPherson off while moving away from the ropes and rocked McPherson with strong combinations. Once the third round began, Mendez was back on the attack, pushing McPherson against the ropes and landing several clean punches upstairs before referee Pete Podgorski called off the bout at the official time of 1:26.

In addition, welterweight Jaime Herrera (5-0, 3 KOs) won by a six-round unanimous decision over Guadalupe Diaz (5-8-3, 1 KO). Herrera landed accurate punches throughout every round, but Diaz showed plenty of fight as he continued to go after his opponent. Diaz was also dropped by a right hook at the end of round three. In the end, all three scores were 60-53 in favor of Herrera.

In other results, light heavyweight Sergey Kovalev (11-0, 10 KOs) scored a second-round TKO over Dallas Vargas (22-6, 16 KOs). Vargas showed little defense upstairs as Kovalev patiently landed his punches seemingly at will. In the second round, a series of left hooks dropped Vargas. Vargas rose to continue, but more left hooks landed before Vargas took a knee and the contest was called off. Time of stoppage was 1:16.

Junior welterweight Ramiro Carrillo (3-0, 2 KOs) defeated Matt Ellis (1-3, 1 KO) by a first-round TKO. Both fighters came out swinging, but Carrillo forced Ellis against the ropes and threw bombs until referee Geno Rodriguez ended the bout. Time of stoppage was 2:33.

Super middleweight Mike “Hollywood” Jimenez (3-0, 3 KOs) knocked out Jesse Lewis (0-2) in the first round. A right hand by Jimenez began the action before another strong right hand dropped Lewis, bringing a sudden end to the contest. Time of stoppage was 0:53.

Super welterweight Donatas Bondarevas (10-1-1, 3 KOs) defeated Mustafah Johnson (8-9-1, 2 KOs) by an eight-round unanimous decision. Scores were 77-74, 79-72, and 78-73.

Heavyweight David Latoria (7-0, 3 KOs) defeated James Porter (5-14-1, 1 KO) by a four-round unanimous decision. All three scores were 39-35.

Junior welterweight Antonio Canas (3-0, 2 KOs) defeated Gabriel Morris (3-8-2) by a four-round unanimous. Scores were 40-36 twice, and 39-37.
