Andrew Selby has had his next fight date confirmed.
The WBC International, British and IBF Inter-Continental champion was only in action earlier this month but has now been given his next outing date.
Selby (8-0, 5 KOs) will face an opponent to be named on March 11.
His fight, which at this stage has no further details, will take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales, as part of the undercard of the vacant British cruiserweight title showdown between Craig Kennedy and Matty Askin.
The main event will be screened exclusively live on Channel 5, while the undercard is set to be shown on Spike TV.
Selby, 28, outpointed Ardin Diale on February 4 at the London Olympia on the same card as Chris Eubank Jr.’s stoppage victory over outgoing Australian champion Renold Quinlan to claim the International Boxing Organisation super-middleweight title to pick up the fringe WBC belt mentioned above.
It is unclear at this stage whether ‘AC Superstar’s’ next display will be for any sort of title or whether it will just be an international contest, but further details are expected to be revealed by the promoters Cyclone in due course.
Morgan Jones will feature on the undercard alongside Wales’ only active female fighter Ashley Brace.
Elsewhere, Conrad Cummings faces Ronny Mittag in a rematch as the pair contest the latter’s IBF Inter-Continental middleweight title for the second time, Mason Jones and Jason Sillett have been confirmed as additions, while Nathan Thorley will also see action on a card which plays host to the return of Chris Jenkins.
