Andrew Selby is scheduled to return to the ring in the New Year after being handed a date.
The former amateur standout (3-0, 2 KOs) has made a storming start in the pro game and has been confirmed as a showcase feature on the undercard of the British cruiserweight title final eliminator between Craig Kennedy (13-0, 7 KOs) and Tony Conquest (16-2, 5 KOs) at the Newport Centre in Gwent, Wales.
Selby, 26, has beaten former world title challenger Everth Briceno on points and stopped both Haji Juma and Jozsef Ajtai and will get the opportunity to display his talent once more on February 6, live and exclusive on Eurosport.
Elsewhere on the card, Barrie Jones (22-10, 9 KOs) will defend the Welsh super welterweight title against durable veteran Bradley Pryce (36-20, 19 KOs) and Jamie Arthur features as he looks to get closer to a major title shot in 2016.
Meanwhile, undefeated Welsh prospects Tony Dixon (6-0, 1 KO), Morgan Jones (4-0, 1 KO), Nathan Thorley (3-0, 2 KOs) and Jermaine Asare (3-0) are set for action and the whole card will be added to by the professional debut of Swansea’s 19-year-old welterweight Sonny Lee.
