According to Polish reporter Przemek Garczarczyk, heavyweight contender Andrew Golota has agreed to take part in Don King's planned charity event in Chengdu, China, scheduled to take place in November at the Chengdu National Stadium.

King said that Golota has agreed and he would like to match him against Jameel McCline or former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs. King would like the fight to be some sort of an eliminator to place the winner closer to a major title shot. After being blow out by Lamon Brewster in one-round, Golota has won three fights in a row against fellow-Chicago heavyweight Mike Mollo, journeyman Jeremy Bates and Kevin McBride.
