Undefeated WBC Silver super bantamweight champion Andrés “Jaguar” Gutiérrez closely followed the fight in which former world champion Hugo Cazares defeated Julio Cesar Miranda last Saturday, as he could be facing Cazares soon.

“I respect Cázares career, but I don’t think he represents a true challenge for me. I do believe that when the time comes, I will be the one with his hand risen.”

Gutierrez, aged just twenty 20 explained: “I’m already training. And I know that if this fight does takes place, it will be an eliminator.”

Andrés Gutiérrez (28-0-1, 22 KOs) has enjoyed a great year. He defeated Jose Carmona, and then conquered the WBC Silver title over Salvador Sanchez II, successfully defending it against Rey Pérez and Ernie Sánchez.

In the other corner, Cázares (40-7-2, 27 KOs) defeated Rey Pérez, Gabriel Altarejos and Julio César Miranda.
