Undefeated Andres “Jaguar” Gutierrez is peaking and relishing the WBC final eliminator against  Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz in Guadalajara. Gutierrez Manager, Edison Reynoso confirmed that the WBC ordered bout will take place on November 8th, and the likely venue is Queretaro.

Andrés Gutiérrez (30-0-1, 22KO), has already completed a mount of training in Guadalajara, led by Jose Chepo Reynoso. The avowed aim is to win this eliminatory bout to close in on a challenge against WBC Champion Leo Santa Cruz.

"I have the silver belt, but my dream is to be world champion, and I won 't let this golden opportunity slip by," vowed Gutierrez.

He acknowledged he will have to sharpen up, as he had some problems in his last bout against Mario “Huracan” Macias.

"I defeated him by unanimous decision, but he knocked me down. I was never knocked down before, and it was a pretty big surprise. Knowledge is power, so we have learned from it."

Jaguar praised “Cuatito” Ruíz “  saying: "He is a good fighter, and dangerous with lots of skills, possessing power in his gloves, but his defense is not the best. My blows will get through."
