Negotiations are still ongoing for a the possible inclusion of super middleweight champion Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs) for the Miguel Cotto vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez HBO Pay-Per-View on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Ward is promoted by Roc Nation Sports, who also promote Cotto. Ward returned to the ring on June 20th against Paul Smith and won with a ninth round TKO. It was Ward's first fight since November 2013 due to injuries and promotional problems.
Roc Nation CEO Michael Yorkmark feels the addition of Ward would be a very good showcase for the Olympic gold medal winner.
"We think it would be good for him, a showcase PPV, it would be good for the PPV and he showed interest in being on the undercard," Yorkmark told ESPN Deportes. "The decision should be next week."
