WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is hungry to get back in the ring. The talented boxer has been inactive since November of 2013, after winning a twelve round unanimous decision over Edwin Rodriguez.
Ward, on the bench due to injuries and a series of legal battles with Goossen Promotions, is now past those issues and signed a promotional deal with Roc Nation Sports.
He hopes to return to action on a date in late March or early April.
"If it was solely up to me [on when I would return], probably March or early April. But, I have to talk to Virg. He's my coach and he's very, very keen on knowing how much time we have to get ready. I'm in good shape. My weight is fine. I've stayed fit. But training camp and staying in shape are two different things. I'll talk to him, but hopefully in late March or early April," Ward said.
