Once beaten contender Andre Dirrell has ripped WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch. During my recent piece on BoxingScene.com, Froch was quoted as saying that Dirrell was an easy night's work in the first stage of the Super Six tournament. The Nottingham fighter won a close split decision. Dirrell later withdrew from the Super Six tournament with a head injury.

“I’ve had three fights but I made easy work of two of them. I made easy work of Andre Dirrell. I’ve done more damage shaving myself than what Andre Dirrell did. And against Arthur Abraham I made easy work of that. I mean the only fight that was hard work was the Mikkel Kessler fight and that was my own fault. I stood in front of him for four or five rounds and made a fight of it which I shouldn’t have done and there’s reasons why I did that," Froch said.

Dirrell didn't allow Froch to get away with his comments.

"Yeah the fight was easy work for Carl Froch, the judges told him if he gets to a decision with me - he wins....no work required. I'm not surprised at all with that statement he made. He's a cocky fighter who has to live up to his rep, but it obviously haunts him every day. If Carl Froch fights me again, he loses hands down. He don't want it with the 'Matrix' no more. I'm the last fighter he'll want to meet," Dirrell said.
