It seems that a possible move to junior welterweight has been discussed between WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and his promoter Lou DiBella. Because Berto can make weight for welterweight with such ease, it's believed that Berto can get down to 140-pounds.

DiBella told Dan Rafael that if Paulie Malignaggi gets past Ricky Hatton on November 22, he would explore the possibility of matching Berto and Malignaggi for a junior welterweight title or the two fighters meeting at a catch-weight for Berto's title.

"Berto is not a big welterweight, and he can make the lower weight, so if the right fight presents itself, it's something we would certainly consider. We've discussed it," DiBella said.
