When WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight champion Czar Amonsot made his US debut last February he won a bloody unanimous decision over hard-hitting Mexican Christian Favela.

When Amonsot makes his return to the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas today, he expects nothing short of a war against Puerto Rican toughie Jose Reyes. But Amonsot, the stylish southpaw who weighed in at 132 pounds isn’t awed by Reyes’ reputation and vowed to battle the Mexican all the way. Reyes tipped the scales at 130 ½ pounds at the official weigh in.

Soft-spoken Along Denoy who is making his US debut clashes with another tough Mexican Esau Gaona, a rbeplacement for "San Diego Sensation" Sergio Espinoza who was injured in training. Gaona has won his last two fights by stoppage. Last February 10 Gaona scored a second round knockout over Jorge Ramirez and earlier on October 20 last year scored a first round TKO win over Roberto Castro.

Denoy , another of the promising young fighters from Bohol like Amonsot and WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight champion Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista isn’t fazed by the reported punching power of his Mexican opponent. According to well-known promoter and boxing manager Sammy Gello-ani who is in Las Vegas, Denoy who weighed in at 112 pounds to Gaona’s 113 is ready to rumble.

The fights will be telecast by Viva Sports on May 20 at 9:00 p.m. over RPN 9.
