The time is almost here for Amir Khan to defend his WBA junior welterweight title against Paulie Malignaggi. The fight happens on Saturday at New York's Madison Square Garden. Khan doesn't see Malignaggi being able to get away from his power. He wants to make a clear statement to the American media.
Malignaggi has fired a lot of verbal jabs during the fight promotion. Khan will no longer continue the war of words. He just wants to punish Malignaggi in the ring.
“I’ve fought a lot of people who talk a lot. I’ll let my fists to the talking in the ring on Saturday night. I’m looking forward to shutting him up. It’s great to be here at the Mecca of boxing, Madison Square Garden," Khan said.
"I’m going to send a statement out in the 140-pound division with this fight. I can’t wait to beat him. I'm a nice guy and it's a pity I’m in a business where I hurt people. I'm going to hurt someone on Saturday.”
