British star of Pakistani origin Amir Khan on Friday pledged to prepare a strong outfit of Pakistan boxers, who would also be capable to fight in the next Olympics games to be held in Tokyo in 2020.

"Pakistan youth are highly talented and they can excel in boxing and earn a name in it. I will help Pakistan to produce champions in my academy. I am sure in four years we will manage to produce such boxers who will be capable to earn medals in the Olympics," he told media after giving tips to around 30 coaches and young pugilists from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad at his boxing academy, Pakistan Sports Complex.

Amir said that Pakistan was a great country, whose people love sports and healthy activities. He said he believed in the immense talent that Pakistan had for boxing and that was why he had opened his academy in its capital.

Amir said his academy was modelled after the one he established in Bolton, England. He said he would keep on visiting Pakistan time to time and impart training and groom Pakistan's aspiring boxers.

The Pakistan Sports Board has signed an agreement with Amir under which, he is providing training to coaches and boxers besides providing boxing equipment for the academy.
