Former two division champion Amir Khan watched his countryman Carl Froch lose a twelve round unanimous decision to Andre Ward on Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The scores were 115-113, 115-113 and 118-110. Froch tried hard to crack Ward's defenses, but he couldn't. Khan was impressed with Ward's ability to adjust to the Nottingham boxer's advances, over and over again.
"[Froch] needed a fast early start, but Ward knew exactly what to do. He had a Plan A, a Plan B and a Plan C. You can say at the end of the right, when [Ward] got tired he was on his bike and moving around, but stayed in close and fought well. Overall it was a great performance by both fighters," Khan said.
