Palms Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nev. - BoxingScene.com caught up with former champion Amir "King" Khan at the Jhonny Gonzalez-Gary Russell Jr. Showtime televised card shortly after IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook dropped Jo Jo Dan four times in route to a fourth round knockout victory.

Brook has called out Khan many times in the past and called out his domestic rival again in his post fight interview. Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn chimed in saying that the fight would be the biggest payday of Khan's career.

When told of Brook's comments, Khan didn't shut the door on the fight, saying that it could possibly happen at the end of year if Brook beefs up his resume.

"He beat Shawn Porter. Shawn is a good fighter (but) look at some of the guys I fought. Look at my list. I have (Danny) Garcia, (Lamont) Peterson, Devon Alexander, (Zab) Judah, Maidana. I fought the top guys. He should be doing the same.

"Honestly I don't think it will be him in May when I fight (next) but at the end of the year it could happen - but he has to prove himself against some decent "A" class opponents.

"I'm doing all the hard work and fighting all the big names. Obviously he is cherry picking his fights. I don't want to be the one giving him the opportunity," Khan told Boxingscene.com.
