Meanwhile, British High Commissioner Thomas Drew, who was present on the occasion said that Amir Khan is "Pakistan's Muhammad Ali." Adding that when Amir is in Pakistan he is ambassador of Britain and when he is in Britain he is ambassador of Pakistan.
Expressing his desire to bring back international cricket in Pakistan, the ambassador said that he wished that the English side would soon visit to support the revival of sports in Pakistan.
Khan has been out of the ring since suffering a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in May of 2016, when the British star moved up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds. Khan is slated to fight again at the end of the year, at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds, but no date, venue or opponent has been mentioned as of yet.
