Rigoberto "Español"  Alvarez is traineding with a lot more enthusiasm for his official defense of the World Boxing Association's junior middleweight crown against American Austin Trout, which takes place at the Soccer Stadium Sergio León Chavez in Mexico on February 5.

Eddy Reynoso, the coach of Alvarez, said "the venue is ready. He spent a few weeks in the gym. His challenger is left-handed like him, his left is dangerous, he hits hard with the right, and technically he has a good repertoire of shots and uses his jab very well."

Reynoso said Rigo "is helped with his boxing, every third day, by his brother Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gilbert Ramirez. The tough work will begin next week and we will begin to focus on speed."

Eddy said "He looking good and the weight is going according to plan."

How can Alvarez win?

"Pressure from the first round to overwhelm Trout. The base will be in his physical condition."

Is it Rigo's advantage to fight in Mexico?

"No, because there are fighters who are pressured more when they are in front of their people."
