Guadalajara, Mexico - The new WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion, Guadalajara's Rigoberto Alvarez, who is the older brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, is still recovering from the bad cut that he suffered on his eyebrow during the recent fight with Japan's Nobuhiro Ishida.
Because he is still unable to train, Alvarez's first defense that he agreed to make in the first week of December against mandatory challenger Austin Trout of the United States, will be postponed until early next year.
"We will not give him any advantages. There are wounds that still need to heal," Alvarez said.
