Colombian light heavyweight contender Eleider Álvarez (13-0, 8KOs) is determined to fight for the WBC Silver title in the best shape possible, so he's moved to Big Bear Mountains in California, where he'll train with Angel Heredia and Marc Ramsay.
"I'm training exceptionally hard. I'm in Big Bear at 6,700 meters altitude, where I've been doing aerobic and anaerobic workouts. My training sessions start at at 8 am and 3 pm," said the Colombian fighter, who'll face Thomas Oosthuiezen (22-0-2, 13KOs) from South Africa, for the WBC silver title on January 18th, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
“It won’t be an easy fight. But I’m happy, as I'll be able to show my talent in HBO,” Eleider Alvarez explained.
His rival Thomas countered: "I’m a strong fighter and I have a better punch than him. He feels unbeatable, he’s overconfident and I will take advantage of that!”
