A potential clash between Colombian middleweight Edison Miranda (27-1, 24 KOs) and super middleweight Allan Green (23-0, 16 KOs) is looking good for 2007. Green would moved down to middleweigh to make the fight.

According to ESPN, Green saw Miranda's destruction of Willie Gibbs on HBO and his team immediately contated Miranda's co-promoter Warriors Boxing to make the fight. HBO is very interested in televising the fight.  Green feels that Miranda's style of fighting is tailor made for him, and he was not too impressed with his recent first round knockout of Gibbs.

"I would love that fight," Green told ESPN.com. "I feel like he's a strong puncher, but stylistically he's tailor-made for me. I don't want to have to wait on guys. If this fight is available at 160, then it's the fight I want."

"He's a good fighter," Green said. "I've seen him fight a few times. I'm not overwhelmed by what he did to Willie Gibbs. [Gibbs has] been a corpse for some time. He has not been the same since he fought Daniel Edouard. I expected what I saw. Allan Green is a totally different animal than Willie Gibbs."
