The televised portion of Roc Nation Sport's boxing promotional debut remains intact, as all prime time entrants made weight for Friday's show at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City.
In the main event, Dusty Hernandez-Harrison—a promising 20-year old welterweight prospect from Washington D.C.—takes on Long Island's own Tommy Rainone in a scheduled 10-round bout. Harrison came in at a lean 145 lb., while Rainone tipped the scales at 146.8 lb.
The televised co-feature pits middleweights Tureano Johnson and Alex Theran in a 10-round regional title fight.
Johnson—who served as the lone representative for Bahama's boxing team during the 2008 Beijing Olympics—needed to strip down in order to make the official 160 lb. limit, but was able to make weight without having to shed the excess poundage. Theran made weight on the first try, coming in at 158.2 lb.
Both bouts air live on Fox Sports 1. The card is the first of a three-show deal for Roc Nation Sports, although more dates are expected to be added in the near future.
