This coming September 6th, the Mexico City Arena will vibrate with one of the most anticipated female fights, as the super bantamweight world champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Jamaica's Alicia Ashley, will defend her title against Mexico superstar and the first female champion of the World Boxing Council, Jackie Nava (29-4-3, 13KOs).

This is a fight that has generated great expectations, says WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman. Ashley captured the title on July 23, 2011 after winning a unanimous decision over Christina Ruiz and has a record of 21 wins, three by knockout, 9 losses and 1 draw.

Jackie, who returned to the sport in May after a near two-year maternity leave, says she is reacy to reclaim the WBC gold.
