Last week BoxingScene.com ran a story stating that lightweight Ali Funeka failed a post-fight drug test after his March 27th bout with Joan Guzman, and the Las Vegas Review Journal reported that Funeka was facing a possible fine and suspension. He tested positive for the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide. On Friday the Nevada Athletic Commission temporarily suspended Funeka's license. He has until May 3rd to answer the complaint.

In other news, the Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones Jr. April 3rd rematch produced a live gate revenue of $1,198,200 and sold 4,240 tickets. 2,311 complimentary tickets were issued.

Officials have been named for the Mayweather-Mosley mega-fight. Kenny Bayless, a veteran of many big fights will serve as referee. Dave Moretti, Adalaide Byrd and Robert Hoyle will judge the bout.
