BoxingScene.com recently spoke to Devon Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham. Alexander is coming off of last month's impressive unanimous decision victory over Marcos Maidana.

Cunningham caught wind of Boxingscene's recent story that revealed that Andre Berto may not be ready for his June 23rd rematch with Victor Ortiz. The fight was originally scheduled for February 11th but Berto suffered a ruptured bicep which caused the fight to be delayed and may cause it to be delayed further.

In the article. Ortiz said that if Berto isn't ready to go on in June that he would move on to a different opponent.

Cunningham said that they have late July or early August targeted for Alexander's next fight and would be more than happy to face Ortiz if Berto is unable too.

"We are looking for Devon to come back in late July or early August.  We would be more than willing to fight Ortiz," Cunningham told Boxingscene.com.
