BoxingScene.com previously reported that the October 14th edition of Premier Boxing Champions [PBC] on ESPN will be a doubleheader featuring IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby making the very first defense of his world title against former three division champion Fernando Montiel, who won eight in a row since losing a decision to Victor Terrazas in 2011.
In the other fight, former two-division champion Devon Alexander will go against rugged veteran Aaron Martinez. Both fighters are coming back from defeats. Alexander, who will return from a ten month layoff, needs a big win to get back on track.
Selby-Montiel is set for twelve rounds while Alexander-Martinez is a ten round.
BoxingScene.com has now been advised that the card will take place just outside of Phoenix, Arizona in Glendale at the Gila River Arena.
PBC on ESPN normally takes place on Saturdays but will take place on Wednesdays during college football season.
