During a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Ryan Burton, WBC junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander gave an obvious hint that he believes a knockout victory will be the end result when he faces WBO champ Tim Bradley on January 29 in Pontiac, Michigan. Alexander plans to take the fight to Bradley from the opening round and won't let up.
"It's going to be explosive. I'm going to be fast and explosive. I'm going to be on Bradley from the beginning bell to the ending bell. If he's standing at the end of twelve rounds so be it, but I'm going to be on him," Alexander told BoxingScene.com. "Alexander 'The Great' will be victorious again, 22-0, with 14 knockouts [Alexander currently has 13 knockouts]."
Alexander has been asking for this fight for a long time. Now he's got the fight and he knows it's time to make it or break it in the ring.
"Now we're getting somewhere and finally Timmy Bradley stepped up to the plate. And now we have to show the world why we were begging for this fight and why we're the best at 140-pounds," Alexander said.
