German heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko (34-2) returns to action on May 30 in Hamburg when he takes on Latvian veteran Edgars Kalnars (27-34) in a scheduled six-rounder. Dimitrenko was last seen winning over journeymen Samir Kurtagic (December 12) and Ivica Perkovic (March 13) but was on the floor in both fights and failed to impress.
Dimitrenko, from Ukraine, turned pro with Universum in 2002 and looked like the real thing in his early days but never developed into a genuine contender despite a string of good wins and in his last big fight (in May 2012) he was knocked out by Kubrat Pulev.
In the headliner on this show, light heavyweight Abel Gevor (9-0) take on Kirill Psonko (15-34-2).
